The Gillette News Record(editorial) reports on uranium’s revival.
Today the only operating uranium mine in Wyoming is Cameco’s Smith Ranch-Highland in-situ mine just north of Douglas. The mine now produces about half of all the uranium mined in the U.S. — but not for long.
With that, demand for uranium is expected to outpace the current supply in the coming decades.
