Powertech Submits BLM Application Dewey-Burdock Project
Post by Melissa Pistilli, Uranium Reporter
Powertech Uranium Corp. reports that it has submitted the required Plan of Operation to the U.S. Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management for its Dewey-Burdock uranium in situ project.
The project, which is located in Fall River and Custer Counties, South Dakota (SD), consists of 10,580 surface and mineral acres controlled by the Company through active mining leases, purchases and unpatented claims. The BLM manages 240 acres within the project area, of which only about 15 acres are expected to be disturbed during the life of the project. Powertech controls the mineral rights on these lands through unpatented Federal Lode Claims and secures access under the terms of the 1872 Mining Law.
